Laser applications
Further areas of application for our laser machines
Whether individual design objects, technical components or large-scale series products – eurolaser machines are used in a wide variety of applications. From filigree engravings to precise large-format cutting, our systems offer an efficient, clean and contact-free solution for numerous manufacturing processes.
Filter
Modern filters are part of processes for separating or purifying substances. These processes are often divided into gas, solid and liquid filtration. Lasers can be used to cut almost all technical textiles for filtration perfectly. The cut edges of the filters do not fray, and marking systems, e.g. for sewing marks, make further processing much easier.
High precision, even with filigree details
No distortion thanks to contactless laser processing
Sealing the cut edges of synthetic textiles
Laser cutting as a service
Individual orders, short production times, different batch sizes: these are the daily challenges in contract manufacturing. A wide variety of materials, from textiles and plastics to wood and composites, are processed for different clients. The multitude of applications, each with its own unique processing challenges, is perfect for the laser as an all-round tool.
High flexibility in contour and material selection
Suitable for single items through to series production
Mechanical tools can be used in addition to the laser
Model making / Architecture
A key advantage of eurolaser systems is their fast and flexible processing. This enables architects to design a model together with the customer, send the CAD data directly to the laser machine and thus produce the model in real time. The possibility of combining the laser with mechanical tools such as knives or routing cutters further increases flexibility, making it easy to implement creative ideas.
High precision even with filigree details
Realisation of creative ideas through rapid contour adjustment
Various manufacturing processes can be combined with the laser
Membrane keyboards / Control elements
Membrane keyboards are used where conventional keyboards reach their limits – e.g. in damp or dirty environments. eurolaser laser machines cut sensitive films precisely and seal the cut edges in a single operation. The combination of a CO₂ laser and a knife transforms the system into a flexible universal cutter – ideal for the production of multilayer film keyboards.
Multifunctional with knife inserts and laser
Precise, sealed cut edges
High precision to match the print
Toys
From plush to acrylic to wood – thanks to their fast and flexible processing, you can easily and effortlessly adapt eurolaser machines to your requirements and thus respond individually to customer requests. The laser can be used to shape model aeroplanes, wooden jumping jacks, puzzles, cuddly toys, acrylic chess pieces and much more.
Automation for industrial manufacturing
Consistently high quality in cutting
High flexibility in contour and material selection
Textile silos / Big bags
Agriculture, construction, industry or transport: large-format textile silos and big bags are no longer niche applications. Thanks to high cutting speeds, directly welded cutting edges and the precise processing of roll goods, an eurolaser system significantly speeds up the machining process.
Lint-free, sealed cut edges
High processing speed
Automated cutting in large format
Prototyping / Universities
Laser technology is ideal for prototyping (single items or small series). Contour lines created using design software can be easily implemented on laser systems. The wide range of materials that can be processed opens up a variety of possible uses. Laser technology is also becoming increasingly common in schools and universities.
Variable applications of the laser
Flexible and easy operation
Fast contour adjustment without tool creation
Ventilation ducts
In modern air distribution, ducts made of technical textiles are increasingly being used. The round, semi-circular or quarter-circular textile ducts ensure the introduction and distribution of cooled or heated air. The CO₂ laser sets new standards, particularly for the exact cutting and precise perforation of these technical textiles.
Automated cutting directly from the roll
Processing large formats
Lint-free cut edges and filigree details
Foam inlays
Foam materials are used in a wide range of products, such as thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and case inlays. The material composition varies depending on the application. Laser cutting scores particularly highly here thanks to its flexibility and contactless processing. Without exerting any pressure on the foam, the cuts are precise and no post-processing is required.
Contact-free cutting without crushing
Clean, smooth cut edges
Flexible contour selection without tool creation
Woodworking
CO2 lasers are suitable for various wood materials, such as balsa, MDF, veneer or plywood, and a wide range of applications. They can be used to cut the finest contours. Typical examples of the use of laser technology in woodworking are candle arches in Erzgebirge folk art, Christmas decorations, veneer inlays and parquet flooring.
Very high precision when cutting
Contact-free, therefore less breakage
Laser engraving of high-resolution images and reliefs
Front panels / Decorative films
Front panels are often found in household and electrical appliances, such as washing machines, refrigerators and kitchen appliances. They embed control elements such as switches, buttons and displays in high-quality decorative films. To ensure perfect functionality and appearance, even the smallest openings must be cut out precisely and cleanly – ideal for precise laser cutting.
Precise contour cutting, matching the print
High precision for the smallest details
Smooth cut edges without reworking
Sound-absorbing elements / Acoustic walls
The combination of functionality and aesthetics is becoming increasingly important, particularly in interior design. For example, demand for sound-absorbing elements and materials is rising steadily. Whether printed or in customised shapes, laser cutting systems ensure precise, material-friendly cutting for accurate results, from individual production to series production.
Cost-efficient thanks to maximum material utilisation through nesting
Fully automated machining processes
Gentle on materials thanks to contact-free cutting
Sustainable materials
Environmental awareness and climate protection are declared goals for us and many of our customers. Accordingly, the materials processed with our laser systems are also changing. The trend towards sustainable solutions is leading to new materials. From biodegradable films and recycled plastics to FSC-certified paper-based materials, our laser systems are meeting these challenges worldwide.
Wide variety in the choice of materials
Scalable production with consistent quality
Realisation of creative ideas through fast contour adjustment
Speciality films
Our lasers are used in numerous special applications. Whether for switchable films for residential and commercial premises, heat-resistant materials in aerospace, film membranes for heat exchangers or high-performance adhesive tapes for the automotive industry, the laser cuts reliably. Our laser systems score highly with these sensitive and often very cost-intensive materials thanks to their contactless and therefore material-friendly processing.
Reliable cutting of resistant materials
Cost-efficient thanks to maximum material utilisation through nesting
No distortion thanks to contactless laser processing
Sprue removal
High-quality injection moulded parts are subject to the highest demands and are critically examined by the end user. The sophisticated processes of injection moulding technology itself do not pose a bottleneck in this regard. However, during post-processing, the sprue must be removed without damaging the material and surface structure in order to complete the component for further manufacturing steps such as tempering, screen printing, etc.
