Further information on the collaboration with eurolaser
eurolaser tested the following materials from Georg+Otto Friedrich on the laser cutting machines:
Laser test: 8668SDWGFS | PureNight Pro
Laser cutting of polyester blockout fabric
Material
PureNight Pro is a sustainable blockout fabric made from 100% polyester – PVC-free, recyclable and without any additional coating. The material is light-impermeable, durable, crease-resistant and provides a soft white surface for excellent print results. It was developed by Georg+Otto Friedrich as part of the environmental initiative GOING GREEN by Friedrich.
Test setup
The laser test was carried out on a eurolaser L-1200 laser cutting machine equipped with a 400 W CO₂ laser and an integrated Conveyor System. The material was processed automatically directly from the roll. The camera recognition system POSITION+ professional was optionally used to precisely detect printed contours. The objective was a precise, distortion-free cut with clean edges – even for fine details and complex shapes.
Result
PureNight Pro was cut with high precision. The cut edges remained clean and smooth, without fraying or discolouration. Contact-free processing prevented distortion and ensured consistently high cutting quality throughout. Laser cutting proved to be particularly contour-accurate, even along printed edges and in complex shapes.
Advantages
No distortion due to contact-free cutting.
Clean, precise cut edges without fraying or discolouration.
Accurate cutting along printed contours.
Consistently high cutting quality over time.
Automated processing of roll material.

Laser test: 6043KFL | StandardFlag KFL
Laser cutting of polyester flag fabric
Material
6043KFL | StandardFlag KFL from Georg+Otto Friedrich is a proven polyester flag fabric with an area weight of 110 g/m². Thanks to its dimensionally stable warp-knitted structure, it offers excellent running properties on various printing systems and enables consistent, reproducible print results. The material is ideally suited for applications in the flag and banner sector.
Test setup
The laser test was carried out on a eurolaser L-1200 laser cutting machine equipped with a 400 W CO₂ laser and a Conveyor System for automated processing directly from the roll. The camera recognition system POSITION+ was used for precise contour cutting of printed materials.
Result
6043KFL | StandardFlag KFL was cut precisely, lint-free and without distortion. An exact fit was achieved even along printed contours. The material is excellently suitable for laser processing.
Advantages
Large-format cutting (soft signage) possible.
Fusion of the cut edges, eliminating pre- and post-processing.
No fabric distortion due to contact-free cutting.
Precise cutting along printed contours.
Accurate material feed without material tension.

Laser test: 7096GFS and 7048GFS | DecoTex GFS
Laser cutting of polyester banner fabrics
Material
7096GFS and 7048GFS | DecoTex GFS are flame-retardant polyester warp-knitted fabrics from Georg+Otto Friedrich – ideally suited for large-format advertising applications, banners and frame systems. 7096GFS (330 g/m²) offers high opacity and stability, while 7048GFS (220 g/m²) stands out for its good crease resistance and versatile print compatibility. Both fabrics are certified according to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and are available in various widths.
Test setup
The laser tests were carried out on two eurolaser laser cutting machines: an L-3200 with 200 W and an L-1200 with a 400 W CO₂ laser, each equipped with a Conveyor System for automated processing directly from the roll. The objective was precise, large-format cutting of both materials under realistic production conditions.
Result
Both 7096GFS and 7048GFS were cut cleanly, precisely and without fraying. The cut edges were smooth and contour-accurate – even in large-format applications. Both textiles are excellently suitable for laser processing.
Advantages
Processing of roll widths up to 3,200 mm.
Cut & Seal process for smooth, fused edges.
Maximum precision combined with high cutting speed.
Automation through Conveyor System and camera system.
