eurolaser tested the following materials from Avery Dennison on the laser cutting machines:

Laser test: Organoid Natural Surfaces

Laser cutting of adhesive films with natural surface materials

Material

Various versions of Organoid Natural Surfaces were tested with laser powers ranging from 100 to 450 watts, depending on requirements, on a conveyor or honeycomb table. The aim was precise, soot-free cutting of delicate contours without residues or double lines. The finished parts could be removed easily, making the process ideal for the series production of high-quality design applications.

Test setup

Various versions of Organoid Natural Surfaces were tested with laser powers ranging from 100 to 450 watts, depending on requirements, on a conveyor or honeycomb table. The aim was precise, soot-free cutting of delicate contours without residues or double lines. The finished parts could be removed easily, making the process ideal for the series production of high-quality design applications.

Result

Organoid Natural Surfaces could be cut precisely and without soot, even with fine contours. No discolouration or residues occurred. The force-free processing and effective extraction enabled clean results without any post-processing. Conclusion: excellently suited for laser processing.

Advantages

Best possible cutting quality, even for the smallest contours.

Avoidance of double lines along the cutting contour (zero nesting).

Soot-free cutting results, meeting the highest aesthetic requirements.

Clean process with no adhesive residues on tools or the machine.

Easy removal of the parts after processing.
