Laser test: MasterJet E 200 Trend
Laser cutting of PVC-free polypropylene film
Material
MasterJet E 200 Trend is an environmentally friendly film that is completely PVC-free and uncoated. It is CO₂-neutral, adheres to a wide range of substrates such as plastic, glass or metal, and is printable with most eco-solvent printing systems. This makes it ideally suited for indoor applications as well as short- to medium-term outdoor use. The film is available in gloss and matt versions, optionally with MasterGuard laminate for additional protection.
Test setup
The test was carried out on an L-1200 laser cutting machine with 200 W laser power and an integrated Conveyor System for automated roll-to-roll processing. In addition, variants with MasterGuard Trend protective laminates (matt and gloss) were tested. The objective was precise processing under realistic production conditions.
Result
MasterJet E 200 Trend could be cut with high precision directly from the roll. The camera recognition system enabled accurate cutting of printed films. Even very small contours could be produced without difficulty. The cut edges remained smooth and sealed – even with laminate.
