Run­ning shoes made in Ger­ma­ny – gui­ded by this prin­ci­ple, bro­thers Ulf and Lars Lun­ge de­ci­ded to es­tab­lish a run­ning shoe pro­duc­tion fa­ci­li­ty in Ger­ma­ny. Lun­ge Lauf­schuh­ma­nu­fak­tur de­ve­lops and ma­nu­fac­tures tech­ni­cal run­ning shoes for both re­cre­a­tio­nal jog­gers and pro­fes­sio­nal run­ners. The aim of the Lun­ge bro­thers is to pro­duce com­for­ta­ble, pre­mi­um-quality run­ning shoes made from the fi­nest ma­te­ri­als for e­ve­ry type of run­ner. Pro­duc­tion is car­ried out re­spon­si­bly and sus­tain­a­bly, en­sur­ing that e­co­lo­gi­cal and so­cial as­pects re­ceive spe­cial con­si­de­ra­tion through­out the ma­nu­fac­tu­ring pro­cess.

From running expertise to a high-quality manufactory

The Lun­ge suc­cess sto­ry be­gan as a spe­cia­list re­tail­er for sports shoes in Ham­burg. To­day, the com­pa­ny o­pe­ra­tes se­ve­ral run­ning stores in Ham­burg and Ber­lin. Sin­ce 2008, run­ning shoes ha­ve been ma­nu­fac­tu­red in its own ma­nu­fac­to­ry, with the foun­ders’ own run­ning and ma­ra­thon ex­pe­ri­en­ce play­ing a key role in the de­ve­lop­ment of ex­cep­tio­nal­ly high-quality foot­wear. To con­sis­tent­ly de­li­ver the high le­vel of qua­li­ty ex­pec­ted by cus­to­mers, great em­pha­sis is pla­ced on ma­te­ri­al se­lec­tion and op­ti­mal pro­ces­sing. The ma­te­ri­als u­sed are fun­da­men­tal­ly tes­ted for harm­ful sub­stan­ces and ha­ve of­ten pro­ven them­selves on the mar­ket for de­ca­des.

Precision through laser cutting

Efficient material processing

Thanks to modern production systems, the selected materials can be processed to an excellent standard. The shoe uppers are cut on a eurolaser system, which has been part of the machine park from the very beginning. A key advantage of this technology is the thermally fused cutting edge created by the process, which prevents fraying at a later stage. As a result, pre- and post-processing steps are no longer required.

The flexible and clean reproducibility of die-free shoe components made from different materials makes our eurolaser system the heart of Lunge production.
