A.B.S. Silo- und Förderanlagen GmbH

Rethinking silo technology

Since 1984, A.B.S. has been producing a broad range of premium silo solutions worldwide, providing customers with exceptional flexibility for bulk material storage. The founder’s original concept was to replace metal with textiles in silo construction – offering the same strength and durability, a service life spanning decades, and at the same time greater sustainability and flexibility. A design principle that has stood the test of time.

What exactly is produced?

High-tech polyester fabric

Natural products such as grain and animal feed place particularly high demands, which the breathable yet dust-tight silos from A.B.S. meet with exceptional reliability. Even with the extensively proven outdoor silos, no condensation forms, effectively preventing mould growth.

Today, the name A.B.S. stands worldwide for high-quality, flexible silos with a service life of several decades, successfully used around 100,000 times in industry, agriculture and wood pellet storage. With individual solutions precisely tailored to your requirements and hundreds of standard sizes, A.B.S. is among the leading innovators in the industry.

What is the eurolaser system used for?

Laser cutting of large-format technical textiles

The 3XL-3200 laser cutting machine is the largest model in the eurolaser cutter series and was specifically developed for processing large-format textiles. It enables the cutting of roll material up to a width of 3,210 mm and, thanks to seamless cut continuation, ensures efficient processing even of very large formats.

For the sewing markers (notches) required by A.B.S. in textile manufacturing, the Ink Marker module is used. This universal, compressed-air-operated jet system is supplied via a refillable ink tank and allows precise marking with an adjustable line width of 2 to 5 mm. This makes it possible to reliably mark a wide range of materials such as polyester, polypropylene and almost all natural fabrics.

Consistent quality without tool wear – no post-processing required and permanently high cutting quality due to the absence of tool wear.

Cut & Seal process – clean and precise cut edges without fraying, thanks to thermal sealing.

Easy handling – no material fixation required thanks to the vacuum table.

High flexibility – processing in all directions, regardless of the fabric structure.

The eurolaser 3XL-3200 Conveyor impressed us right from the start. Thanks to contact-free cutting, we achieve a high level of dimensional accuracy combined with perfectly sealed cut edges. Even complex shapes can be implemented without any difficulty.

With the enormous processing width of 3.2 m, we are also able to produce our large-format cut parts, and nesting has reduced material waste to a minimum. The unique design with continuous processing (Conveyor) guarantees complete processing of our fabric pieces at all times – without segmentation. This saves us, for example, the effort of sewing individual parts together.

The service and support provided by eurolaser are outstanding in every respect. From the very beginning, the laser system has also been supplied with energy from the company’s own photovoltaic system, ensuring resource-efficient operation.
