Further information on the collaboration with eurolaser
eurolaser tested the following IBENA materials on the laser cutting machines:
Laser test: PES Canvas 360
Laser cutting of polyester fabric
Material
PES Canvas 360 is a heavyweight polyester fabric with a coarse texture, specifically developed for high-quality transfer printing. It is made from 100% polyester, heat-set and pre-shrunk to prevent shrinkage during the printing process. Thanks to its triple-twisted yarn, the material is particularly suitable for art reproductions, printed home textiles and soft signage applications – ideal for water-, oil- or solvent-based inks used in dye-sublimation printing.
Test setup
The IBENA textile was processed on a eurolaser 3XL-3200 laser cutting machine equipped with a Conveyor System and the optional POSITION+ professional camera recognition system. The objective was a contour-accurate, residue- and lint-free cut directly from the roll.
Result
PES Canvas 360 can be cut cleanly, smoothly and without fraying using a CO₂ laser. Even with complex geometries, the cutting quality remains consistently high. In laser testing, the material proved to be excellently suitable for fast, precise processing without any need for post-processing.
Advantages
No edge post-processing required
Lint-free and dust-free processing
No fabric distortion thanks to contact-free processing
Precise cutting of printed textiles
Laser test: Cotton Mako Satin 125
Laser cutting of cotton fabric
Material
Cotton Mako Satin 125 is an exceptionally lightweight, densely woven cotton fabric with a smooth, subtly lustrous satin surface. Made from 100% cotton, it is ideally suited for direct printing with pigment inks. The ink adheres well, even without additional binders, ensuring good wash resistance. The material is perfectly suited for large-format prints, printed home textiles and promotional banners with a premium appearance.
Test setup
The laser test was carried out using a eurolaser 3XL-3200 cutting machine equipped with a Conveyor System – ideal for large-format roll goods. With the POSITION+ professional camera option, printed textiles could be cut precisely along the printed contours. The laser power applied was adjusted according to the material type and the required cutting speed.
Result
Cotton Mako Satin 125 white can be cut precisely and smoothly. The edges are clean and lint-free, with only slight discolouration occurring due to the natural fibre content. This was minimal and did not affect either the visual appearance or subsequent processing. Fine contours can also be implemented with high accuracy. Overall, the material is excellently suitable for laser processing.
Advantages
Large-format processing directly from the roll
Maximum precision, even with complex designs
High processing speed without tool production
Consistently high cutting quality over time

Laser test: Voile CS white
Laser cutting of flame-retardant Trevira® material
Material
Trevira® CS Voile is a transparent, exceptionally lightweight decorative fabric made from 100% Trevira® CS. It is permanently flame-retardant and remains compliant with fire safety standards even after washing. Ideal for exhibition stand construction, events, theatres or film studios – particularly where lighting and laser effects are required on translucent textiles.
Test setup
Processing was carried out on a large-format eurolaser 3XL-3200 cutting machine with automatic material feed via the Conveyor System. Thanks to POSITION+ professional, precise cutting along printed contours was possible. The objective was uniform, tension-free processing with smooth, clean cut edges.
Result
Voile CS white impressed with precise, fray-free cut edges. Even with fine lines, the fabric structure remained stable. The combination of material properties and laser technology enabled clean and fast processing – excellently suitable for laser cutting.
Advantages
No edge post-processing required
Lint-free and dust-free processing
Clean and sealed cut edges
Tension-free processing thanks to laser technology
