What challenges did G. Beneke face?

Expansion of the product portfolio

In pro­duc­tion, G. Be­ne­ke GmbH has suc­cess­ful­ly re­lied on la­ser sys­tems from eu­ro­la­ser for ma­ny years. The XL-1600 la­ser sys­tem with 200 watts from the PN se­ries was re­li­a­bly in dai­ly o­pe­ra­tion for a long time. With new ma­te­ri­als and ap­pli­ca­tions, re­quire­ments in­creased. A so­lu­tion was sought that could be seam­less­ly in­te­gra­ted in­to the ex­ist­ing pro­duc­tion en­vi­ron­ment, while at the same time of­fer­ing high­er la­ser pow­er and o­pen­ing up new pos­si­bi­li­ties in terms of mo­du­la­ri­ty and ex­pan­da­bi­li­ty. The goal was to ex­pand the pro­duc­tion port­fo­lio and re­duce pro­cess times – the de­ci­sion was made in fa­vour of the XL-1600 la­ser sys­tem from the G3 se­ries with dou­ble the la­ser pow­er.

What is the eurolaser system used for?

In co­o­pe­ra­tion with eu­ro­la­ser, G. Be­ne­ke GmbH in­te­gra­ted an XL-1600 sys­tem from the G3 se­ries with 400 watts of la­ser pow­er in­to its pro­duc­tion. The sys­tem is i­de­al­ly suit­ed for pro­cess­ing ad­he­sive films and sten­cils, PMMA, so­lid wood as well as prin­ted po­ly­sty­rene and PETG. Thanks to the high­er pow­er, thick­er ma­te­ri­als can al­so be cut ef­fi­cient­ly, re­sult­ing in fast­er pro­cess­es and high­er out­put.

In ad­di­tion, Be­ne­ke uses PO­SI­TI­ON+ pro­fes­sio­nal for con­tour-ac­cu­rate cut­ting of prin­ted ma­te­ri­als. This o­pens up new pro­duc­tion pos­si­bi­li­ties, par­ti­cu­lar­ly in the POS and dis­play sec­tor.
