New applications through laser cutting of films and composites
KM foliographics GmbH & Co. KG is strategically expanding its portfolio in the field of industrial surface solutions with laser cutting technology. In addition to conventional films, the company now processes display protection films, polycarbonate composite sheets and composite materials with precision and repeatability.
Especially for demanding applications such as kiss cutting, engraving or complex geometries, laser technology offers clear advantages. As a complement to existing plotter solutions, it enables the cost-effective implementation of new applications in automotive, architecture and industry.
High-performance material for protective equipment
PALStex® is a durable laminate based on Cordura®, specifically developed for use in personal protective equipment (PPE). The material is characterised by high tear strength, structural stability and resistance to demanding environmental conditions. This makes it excellently suitable for applications in the military, law enforcement and outdoor sectors.
Together with DELCOTEX, eurolaser tested the material. The combination of PALStex® and laser technology demonstrates its strengths particularly in load-bearing systems: during laser cutting, the cut edges are sealed directly, creating clean contours with exceptional resistance to fraying and tearing.
