FFT Group

How FFT made small series production economical with eurolaser

The FFT Group is a distributor and converter of technical surface protection films, adhesive tapes and die-cut parts. With six locations in Germany, Austria and Denmark, the company acts as an interface between manufacturers and industrial customers. In line with specific customer requirements, individual solutions and projects using adhesive tapes or protective films are developed and implemented.

Maximum material utilisation for greater cost-effectiveness

  • Narrowest webs and zero nesting for optimal material utilisation and high cost efficiency
  • Fast response times for individual customer requirements with optional prototyping
  • Optimal processing of adhesive tapes and protective films tailored to size
  • Expansion of the existing tooling spectrum through laser cutting and engraving options

Three eurolaser systems in use

Twin Table System for maximum efficiency

Since 2012, the FFT Group has relied on eurolaser technology. In addition to two M-800 systems (one of them equipped with a Shuttle Table System), a further and larger XL-1600 with Twin Table System was added in 2025.
It enables even more efficient production through parallel alternating operation – material handling and laser processing run simultaneously. The permanent vacuum ensures that the material is always perfectly positioned on the table.
An integrated safety scanning system provides additional protection by automatically stopping the table change as soon as a person enters the scan area – without affecting the production flow.

Another highlight is the innovative filtration system featuring an enlarged filter surface and a more powerful turbine while maintaining a more compact design. It ensures energy-efficient cleaning of the exhaust air, while the extraction performance can be adjusted according to demand.

This not only saves electricity, but also prevents warm indoor air from being unnecessarily discharged outside. Thanks to digital control and automatic storage of extraction values, operating effort is significantly reduced. Direct control via LaserScout prevents operating errors, manual notes or time-consuming readjustments.

Digital extraction and filtration system for energy-efficient air purification in FFT Group production with enlarged filter area and intelligent control via LaserScout

Our positive experience, the close cooperation and the geographical proximity once again convinced us to invest in eurolaser. With the new XL-1600 and Twin Table System, we can now produce even more efficiently. We are particularly impressed by the new filtration solution – it makes our production significantly more energy-efficient and easier to operate.
