Products in which laser technology is used

Polypropylene is used in the manufacture of the implants and processed using laser cutting systems. During this process, the material is shaped into the required form. The resulting products are used in reconstructive breast surgery as well as in urology, gynaecology and hernia repair.
Challenges faced by pfm medical titanium gmbh
Initial situation in production
Before the investment, pfm medical faced the need to expand production capacity while simultaneously replacing an existing laser solution. Spare parts for the system in use were no longer available, limiting its long-term usability. In addition, the performance of the previous laser no longer met the increased requirements for efficiency and production volume. As part of the modernisation process, a new solution was therefore selected, also with a view to choosing a supplier within the EU.
eurolaser solution
Increased efficiency in production
With the L-1200 Conveyor System laser cutting system, pfm medical was able to increase production output. The use of POSITION+ professional and camera-assisted processing achieves an improved cutting pattern. At the same time, the technology enables the development of new products. Reliable service, short distances and a local contact person also ensure a high level of process reliability. Customer support and the easy operation of the laser system are particularly appreciated.
We are moving away from small-scale thinking and taking the next step towards industrial manufacturing and new standards in our production. With eurolaser, we rely on a solution that stands out through reliable support and a high level of user-friendliness.
