DIVERSE & INFINITE – International in-house exhibition at eurolaser a complete success

Lüneburg-based laser manufacturer presented the entire spectrum of laser processing

The in-house exhibition “INNOVATION DAYS”, which takes place every two and a half years at eurolaser, was a great success. Under the motto “Diverse & Infinite – Markets, Materials & Technologies”, the laser professionals from eurolaser showcased numerous applications from the world of laser processing on May 18 and 19. The market leader for high-end laser cutting systems invited to two days full of technical innovations, professional exchange, and exciting live demonstrations.

Journalists as well as the interested professional audience met at the eurolaser INNOVATION DAYS to experience laser technology firsthand and to learn about the latest trends in laser cutting.

eurolaser impressed the guests with numerous live applications and an extensive partner exhibition of many well-known companies. The partner, among others from the fields of printing technology, materials, material processing, and software, presented their latest developments at their own booths.

But eurolaser also presented its new developments. For example, the first large Shuttle Table System for the G3 series, the XL-1600 Shuttle Table, was shown. By loading and unloading during the machining process, the utilization of the machine can be almost doubled. And it does this on a processing area of 2050 x 1550 mm, which corresponds to an industrial half-size plate. Futhermore, the new camera recognition for printed materials was presented. “POSITIONplus professional” scans the entire processing area with a camera and detects position marks and print contours. The cutting contour is then automatically created and transmitted to the laser system.

A central theme was the automation of production processes. Using a photo box, visitors were able to create portraits of themselves, choosing between three materials and nine frame designs. The materials, such as KROMA® from KOHLSCHEIN or Perspex® and Dibond® from 3A Composites, were then printed directly on the fourth-generation Impala plate printer from SwissQPrint and finished in the desired frame design with a routing tool and laser on the new eurolaser XL-1600 Shuttle. The entire process was automated, the photo from the box was transmitted to the printer and the frame design including the material parameters for finishing on the laser system was scanned in via QR code using the JOBIDENT software.

A total of six laser systems were in live operation. Visitors were able to take the freshly cut samples of textile, wood, acrylic, or foam home with them as souvenirs.

The printer manufacturers Epson, Mimaki, and Canon were also present, and their printing machines were used to print textiles, among other things. In addition, the material manufacturers tesa, 3A Composites, Kohlschein, Brett Martin, and many more had their own exhibition space in Lüneburg.

House tours on the premises, which were unusual for a machine manufacturer and formerly held a fitness studio with a wellness area, complemented the eurolaser INNOVATION DAYS. An extravagant evening event for visitors, exhibitors and, employees rounded off the event program.

Matthias Kluczinski, founder and CEO of eurolaser:
For me, our economic success, especially after these hard months, means that we also give something back. With our INNOVATION DAYS, we provided an appropriate setting for our guests and partners to showcase our latest developments and present the diversity in laser technology.
