INNO TAPE GmbH, Germany
Adhesive tape solutions for automotive applications
INNO TAPE GmbH, based in Alfeld (Leine), was founded in 2006 and specialises in the further processing of adhesive tapes for the automotive sector. Modern single- and double-sided adhesive tapes not only replace traditional joining methods today, but also take on numerous additional functions: they seal, cool, conduct, protect or insulate. However, they often cannot be used directly in the production process. This is precisely where INNO TAPE comes in: the company further processes adhesive tapes and adapts them precisely to the individual applications of its customers – in both form and function.
Die-cutting, plotting and laser processing in adhesive tape converting
Laser processing as a key technology
In addition to die-cutting and plotting, laser processing plays a central role in the further processing of adhesive tapes. INNO TAPE offers its customers extensive expertise in this area and does not rely solely on proven methods in its work. The dynamic company is known for breaking new ground and, in doing so, often gives its customers a decisive competitive advantage.
Capacity and quality
Eight eurolaser machines at INNO TAPE
Laser processing is an integral part of INNO TAPE’s production. Within the extensive machine park, eight eurolaser M-800 machines are now in daily operation. Equipped with a Honeycomb table concept and various high-performance laser sources ranging from 100 to 400 watts, the eurolaser machines enable a wide range of applications and customer requirements to be met. Low maintenance, consistently high cutting quality over time and flexibility for upgrades – for example with a camera system or a Shuttle Table System – have made the eurolaser machines indispensable in the production process.
It all began in 1998 during my visit to the Hannover Messe – at that time, I was still employed by my former employer. It was a curious yet visionary idea, and although laser processing of self-adhesive materials was widely considered impractical at the time, I simply wanted to give it a try. What has emerged from that can be seen today.
This spirit of innovation was a key building block in the founding of INNO TAPE GmbH. And today, this is exactly our DNA: we try new things and have confidence in laser technology and the opportunities it offers. Our team continuously works on new approaches, enabling us to perfect the production of laser-cut die-cut parts. And we are far from finished!
Our expertise combined with eurolaser technology allows us to manufacture highly precise self-adhesive supplier components as laser-cut parts – even in extremely high volumes. I am excited to see how this will continue to develop in the coming years.

Precision and flexibility
Laser processing of adhesive tape
Using laser technology, the material can be processed into shaped parts in virtually any conceivable design and delivered either as individual parts or arranged on sheets. Laser processing offers numerous advantages – for example, peel tabs can be created during the process by laser cutting the liner (release film) so that it protrudes.
In addition, it is possible to laser only partially through the material instead of cutting all the way through (kiss-cutting) and to produce perforations. The “cut” is extremely precise and provides a clean material edge. There are no tooling costs, extensive set-up as required for die-cutting is eliminated, and the raw material can be optimally utilised thanks to flexible part arrangement (nesting). For these reasons, lasers at INNO TAPE are used both for short-term prototype production and for mass production.
