Production of an acrylic bus as an example of the process and of automation
Cutting acrylic with laser has many benefits and can be carried out extremely efficiently thanks to automatic loading and unloading with the Cartesian Pick‘ n Place robot. The following process steps could be seen at the in-house exhibition:
Process Description
Hand out of material at the Arthur Krüger stand
Digital print by Canon on an Océ Arizona large-format flatbed printer
Construction set handed out by Lorenscheit-Roboterarm
Loading, laser cutting and unloading carried out by a eurolaser M-800 with Pick‘ n Place system
Personalization carried out with the QuickMark laser marking system
Bending of an acrylic part by i-concept
Final assembly of the acrylic bus
