Microfilament textiles in laser test

Freudenberg Performance Materials is a leading global supplier of innovative technical textiles. The Company has 35 production sites around the world in 15 countries and has some 5,500 employees. Evolon® is a textile material with a microfilament structure that exhibits strength and softness similar to fabric. Evolon® fabcrics are suitable, for example, for cleaning and sports towels, technical packaging for the automotive and electrical industries or as allergy-friendly bed linen.

The processing tests at eurolaser have shown that the microfilament textiles of the Evolon® brand can be excellently cut with our CO2 laser systems. Our laser systems achieve excellent results aith all tested variants. The tests were carried out on our laser system XL-1600 with 60 watt laser power.
