As one of the world's leading manufacturers of innovative adhesive films and tape systems, Orafol is well known to many. ORABOND^® is a high-performance adhesive tape consisting of an extremely durable acrylate adhesive that can easily compensate for high temperatures or tension. This results in an extremely high level of adhesion, whcih is what makes this material stand out. Working together with Orafol, we tested ORABOND^® for its laser cutting ability and came to the conclusion: Excellently suitable.

Areas of application for ORABOND^®

ORABOND^® is used for bonding different materials. Wherever an invisible adhesive line is required, this adhesive tape from Orafol is the ideal choice, regardless of whether it is glass or transparent plastic. Applications can be found, for example, in the solar industry, in the manufacture of partition walls, windows or doors made of glass and in the processing of safety and laminated glass. However, new areas of application are regularly found for the high-performance adhesive solution from Orafol.

The processing tests in eurolaser's own application laboratory have shown that the ORABOND^® adhesive tape tested can be excellently cut with our CO2 lasers. Excellent cutting results were achieved. A detailed report on the laser cutting test of the adhesive tape is available on request.
