Laser cutting of solid PET sheets

Marpet is a brand of the Northern Irish company Brett Martin.
Marpet-g FS and Marpet-a FS are two types of transparent polyester sheets that score with light transmission and clarity, but also impact resistance and fire protection properties.

eurolaser has now had a closer look at Marpet-g FS and Marpet-a FS. The material was tested in the in-house application laboratory with regard to the properties during laser processing.

Scope of application

Due to their properties, Marpet-g FS and Marpet-a FS are mainly used in the advertising and signage industry. Here, designers appreciate the material properties of this PET for glazing or protective applications. More complex shapes become possible.
Marpet-g FS is particularly shock-resistant and durable and is therefore used for displays, signs and also protective shields.
Marpet-a FS shines with its high optical quality and excellent cold properties. It is used for storing cold food, but also as a protective wall or protective device on machines.
