Marlon ST is a trademark of the Northern Irish company Brett Martin.
These are twin-wall sheets made of polycarbonate. The material not only has a good strength-to-weight ratio, but is also one of the highest quality options for glazing. With UV protection and weather resistance, for example, protective roofs or stadiums are glazed with it.

eurolaser has now had a closer look at Marlon. The material was tested in the in-house application laboratory with regard to the properties during laser processing.

Benefits of cutting Marlon with CO₂ lasers:

  • Clean and perfect cut edge
  • No material fixation necessary thanks to the practical vacuum table
  • No splaying

Scope of application

Due to its special properties, Marlon is used for various applications. In stadiums and sports facilities, the natural light that is retained with Marlon promotes healthy grass growth. When building protective roofs for shopping centers, schools, warehouses, etc. the polycarbonate impresses with its strong and robust structure. In horticulture and agriculture, greenhouses are covered with it. But Marlon is also used for private purposes, for example for winter gardens, sun visors or swimming pool roofing.
