The goal of the laser test:
Smoke-free, precise cuts with fused cutting edges
We have tested the above textiles for processing with our laser cutters. In consultation, attention was paid to the following requirements of the processors.
- Best cutting results even with the smallest possible contours - Maximum perfection and accuracy
- Avoiding traces of smoke and dirt, especially on the coating
- Precise contour cutting of printed material
- Exact corners without marks or overcuts
- No damage to the coating due to the cutting process
- Direct fusion of the cut edges - No post-processing
Test result:
We have extensively tested the Softimage Creaseless Premium®, Softimage Elastico®, Softimage Contrast®, Artist Mambo® PrintTex® and Artist Mambo® DirectTex® fabrics and were able to achieve perfect cutting results for all materials. With the sensitive material Softimage Contrast®, slightly visible back reflections can occur. For this reason, we give Softimage Contrast® a rating of good for laser cutting, while all other materials are excellent.
Overall, we can give a clear recommendation for the laser for processing the materials.

Textiles in the advertising industry
Impressive colors on textiles: trade show booths, banners, display systems or privacy screens. Textiles are versatile in form and color and are now one of the most widely used materials in the advertising industry. To achieve the perfect effect, different components in the processing are important. First of all, the material must be perfectly suited for its intended use. The customer decides which parameters his material should have. The second step is the high-quality print on the textile (whether digital or sublimated) and then the exact, economical further processing (usually the cutting).
We are often asked by our customers how our materials can be cut precisely and effectively. Where the cutting has to meet special quality requirements or exact contours, classical methods often reach their limits. Together with eurolaser we have tested a selection of our materials and found out what excellent results can be achieved with laser cutting', says Sebastian Tens, Head of Sales and Joe Hamma (Int. Sales Manager) at the PONGS® GROUP
