There are currently state funding programs in numerous countries for the purchase of production technology for the manufacture of protective equipment. Please inform yourself at your institutions.
eurolaser offers you CO2 laser cutters specially developed for filter material. If you are not interested in a production system but in fine dust masks, respiratory protection and protective equipment, then you can find these articles at our partner: https://drefi.de/en/
What are the benefits of laser cutting filtering facepiece respirators?
- Sealing the edges of synthetic textiles (cut & seal process)
- No tissue distortion - thanks to contactless processing
- Precision when cutting filigree details
- Less cleaning effort due to reduced dust development when cutting
- No tool wear - consistently high cutting quality
- Processing in all directions - regardless of the fabric structure
What additional benefits do eurolaser CO₂ laser cutters have when cutting protective masks?
- Conveyor-System for fully-automatic laser processing directly from the roll
- Less waste through Nesting software
- Data transfer and transmission of external data of other system provider through flexible Software packages without any problems
- Unique choice of different table sizes
- Labelling of parts by the Label Module
- Application of sewing markings by the Ink Marker Module
- Precise material labeling via Ink Printer Module
- Camera detection for laser cutting of printed materials
- Combined processing with CO2 laser and knife possible on one machine
- Winding unit for the rolling up of already existing textiles
CO2 laser systems for protective masks:
A typical area of application is the cutting of textiles, for example for filtering facepiece respirators. These enclose the mouth and nose, the eye area remains free with these protective masks. These masks are often used for dust protection, in the medical industry, but are now increasingly being used by private individuals for personal protection in medical care. As a rule, these protective masks consist entirely of filter material (non-woven fabric) with rubber bands. In some cases, they have mouldable nose pieces to allow them to be optimally adapted to the face.
The filtering facepiece respirators (FFP) are available in different versions. They protect against small particles or liquid drops when inhaled. According to the European standard, they are classified into three different protection classes with different protective effects: FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3.
Materials often used for laser cutting of textiles:
Polyester, Fleece, Cotton, Polypropylene, Polyurethane, Felt, Silk, Filter fleece, technical textiles, synthetical textiles, Foam, Polyamide.
