Laser cutting, engraving and marking polyoxymethylene, POM, Delrin®
Laser processing ensures a great variety of applications
- Perfectly accurate POM laser cutting and marking
- Material is versatile due to its non-contact processing qualities
- Maximum precision and benefits for delicate contours, even small lot sizes can be produced cost-efficiently
- Laser cutting produces burr-free edges
The QuickMark CO2 laser marker helps to mark, identify and label the material. The eurolaser system M-800 is best suited for cutting the material.

Material information
Polyoxymethylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic resin. It offers high tenacity, rigidity, dimensional stability and chemical resistance. These qualities make POM a suitable replacement for metallic materials in many cases. After processing with the CO2 laser this plastic is used in mechanical engineering, automotive and vehicle manufacturing, for furniture (e.g. for bearings), in electrical engineering and for packaging.
