We
breathe textiles
Better than heated knives or cutters? More often than not special
tools and an individual handling system are necessary for cutting
textile fabrics cleanly. The broad range of applications come
from the most diverse manufacturing branches:
Laser
technology offers solutions for all these requirements. And when
combined with our conveyor
technology it reveals the benefits that can be derived in
the art of cutting for the most diverse kinds of textile fabrics
such as woven fabric, knitted fabric and leather, rubber. The
focused light of the laser can cut practically every type of textile:
- with
no fraying: lint-free & cleanly
-
with no distortion - contact-free
-
with no wear on the tools
-
in the case of synthetic fibres: with fusing of the cutting
edge
-
with a high level of precision
-
steady cutting in any directions as required
If
perforations or engravings are required in any specific applications,
the laser masters these quickly and with unequalled accuracy.
If the material to be processed is not provided in panels or sheets
but wound onto rolls, another piece of equipment comes into play
in addition to the static table systems of the conveyor. An automatic
roll-off unit is added to the laser cutting system so that one
work step is transformed into an efficient manufacturing process:
- material
provision
-
material feed onto the processing area
-
automatic x-positioning by synchronisation of conveyor and feeding
unit
-
automatic y-positioning by edge control system of feeding unit
-
hold on function during cutting process
-
efficient extraction of the cutting emissions
-
and conveyance to the table extension for unloading procedures
All
constitute a complete production line and ensure consistent product
quality.
For
our customers this means all they have to do is put the textile
onto the Conveyor for cutting and then it is ready to go straight
on to further processing.

Sharp
contours in microelectronics
The
following well-known synthetic materials are used in various technical
and mini-technical applications in the design of flexible printed
circuit boards:
-
Polyimide
-
Kapton®
-
Norton®
-
Mylar®
Laser
processing takes place both before and after the electronic components
are mounted and often in combination with other substrates such
as spacer or adhesive foils.
Investment
costs reduced to a fraction
Based on mechanical swiss-made high-precision-technology we have
now made this application attractive for the CO2 laser market
as well.
-
Applications using the economical sealed-off CO2 laser
-
Perfect cuts - no reworking!
-
Minimum oxide formation thanks to our new nozzle and exhaust
concept
-
Precision right through to the µm-range
-
Open software structure (file formats e.g. dxf, ai, pdf)
-
Perfectly accurate laser cutting, in particular for printed
materials thanks to our optical recognition system
Users
in this market segment have already given our application technicians
confirmation of the excellent quality of the cutting edges. They
are now manufacturing successfully and efficient for the automotive
