Material information
Key areas of application for paper, cardboard and paperboard include the advertising and packaging industries as well as the arts and crafts markets. The production of samples, customised or personalised products and designer articles is continuously gaining in importance. Demands of extreme flexibility in the production processes is requested at all. In addition paper is being used far more often for technical applications (e.g. insulating papers). The most common paper-based materials are compressed or bonded and derive mainly from pulp or waste paper. For the most part they are made from organic fibres and can be laminated, printed or coated. Laser is the ideal cutting tool for such materials.
