Task:

Black anodised aluminium is to be engraved as type plate.  To illustrate performance, different technologies are to be used for engraving:

  1. 1Bit engraving display (black/white)
  2. 8Bit engraving grey scales for photorealistic display of images
  3. Vector engraving (lines)

Remarks:

For positioning, a mask and self-adhesive foil were stuck to the processing table.

Apart from the 30 watt laser beam source, the engraving system XS-300 diamondPLUS also has a diamond engraving device. By combining these two engraving techniques, the bandwidth of possible applications can also be extended to metals.
